Biography
Levin-Sieun Kwon was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1992. He began with violin at age of 4. After winning several national competitions for young musicians, he started to play as a concertmaster in youth orchestra in his hometown, Gimpo. When he was 15, he went to Germany to experience the origin of the classical music.
In Muenster he studied with Helge Slaatto as a precollege and a bachelor student. His further study for master degree was with Erik Schumann in Frankfurt.
During his Studies, he was an active orchestra musician and concert master in German orchestras in Aachen, Muenster, Frankfurt and Junge Deutsche Philharmonie(German Youth Orchestra) under baton of conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Lothar Zagrosek, Jonathan Nott and Vassilis Christopoulus. Kwon was influenced by the legendary violinists like Igor Ozim, Thomas Brandis and Hansheinz Schneeberger through their lessons.
On stage as a soloist and a chamber musician, his interpretation is known for its bright ideas, which came from many orchestral experiences.
